Happy New Year!
2006 New Year's Resolution: Step up and take the plunge. You only live once, so do it with people you love and want to spend time with.
2005 was certainly an eventful year for me. I have to say that I've enjoyed it overall. I've come out to most of my old friends, with a few exceptions, and I'm obviously becoming more comfortable with the whole gay thing.
There have been some great times and some that weren't as enjoyable, but I suppose those count as learning experiences regardless. We've had memorable moments at Hatchet Lake and I'm sure there are many more to come. Our neighbours have enjoyed our stay here as much as we have. From late night bonfires, loud music, lazy sundays by the lake, and the occasional housefire, we've certainly provided lots of entertainment.
This New Year's Eve was one of the best I've had in a long time. I spent the majority of the evening with my friends at Opa! having a great dinner with lots of laughs. Being with my closests friends was obviously the best way to end the year, but I still felt bad about dividing my night up.
I was able to spend a little bit of time with Greg while I was home for the holidays and during his visit to Halifax. We successfully pulled off hanging out and it went very well. lol I would really like to spend more time together, rather than hours talking online and emailing like we have been. Hopefully he'll be moving here soon, but until then I guess a few trips to Freddy won't kill me. haha
(I've posted a few pics from New Year's Eve, along with others from Julie's birthday party. Hopefully there will be more to come.)
Opa! was a blast. We brought in the new year with a traditional Greek toast... Champagne, a cheer and the ever-popular smashing of the plates. It was a great way to celebrate. Thanks to Stephen for organizing a great New Year's get-together! :)

After Opa! we headed to Reflections. As suspected, it was a very busy night at the bar. I had fun dancing up a storm with the usual crew and retired on Dave's couch just like old times. No New Year's Eve booty for me.. but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. Oh well, I have lots of time to book some for next year! hehe
Have a great 2006 everyone!
