Beat The Bank, Not Your Phone
You know you've got a problem when...
Today at 3:40 pm I somehow managed to overheat the digital phone at my office while attempting to get on Beat the Bank. lol After high-speed dialing for well over a minute the phone got really warm, flashed some random garbage on the screen and then went completely dead. I have BTB on speedial. This phone is crazy fast. I use the two fingers /three button combo.
Line 1 - "BTB" - RLS... (and repeat). I know what I'm doing.
More concerned with missing my opportunity, I scrambled for my cell and continued on. Perseverance is key. I WILL get on. It's no longer an option.
So after yet another middle-aged trailer trash from Darmouth runs off with $500, I try unplugging the phone cable to see if it solves the problem. No. Then I try unplugging the power cord for a second.. surely this will work. No. At this point I try calling my work number from my cell, thinking maybe getting a call will make it happy again. No. I'm now slightly concerned. lol I decide to sit and quietly scold myself for my behaviour. What had I done? lol
After a few minutes the screen pops back on and it was suddenly Jan 1 2000 again. (I immediately thought to myself.. where the hell was I on Jan 1, 2000?) I had apparently managed to reset it. The phone appears to work perfectly again. I'm still confused.
Now my phone doesn't want to play nice?
