Barber-Q, For All Time. Longtime.

Saturday afternoon was one of the busiest I've had in a long time. I starting off with step 2 of fall hair makeover: emergency grey-coverup. After, I promptly met up with Joseph, Cass and the Gap gays. We walked to get a life. We stopped in the Commons by the skate park. We hadn't found what we were looking for, but there were wieners and buns, so we made do. I regret to say - no cake or balloons.
Then Joseph and I were off the Hydrostone to retrieve the Hobbit-pod and start our speed shopping trip to the mall. We were in and out quicker than... um, yeah.
After a quick trip to Hatchet Lake to gather wardrobe supplies, we grabbed Andrew and headed to buy booze, buffalo burgers and spicy pickles. We had a tight schedule, so we all jumped in Andrew's shower and scrubbed each other vigorously. Well, no we didn't, but in hindsight it would have saved a considerable amount of time. Andrew Barber-Q'd the buffalo (delish) and made a salad while Joseph and I threw ourselves together. Mom yelled that dinner was ready so we scurried to the less-than-discreet dining room table to stuff our faces. We had only minutes before we had to shuffle out the door. We were heading to church and we didn't want to be late. It's important to get a good pew!

Jill's CD Release Party: St Matthew's Church

Jill's very talented brother Matthew started off the show. Joseph had commented on his love for Matthew Barber on numerous occasions in the past. Now I understand. He's... delightful. I'll leave it at that. lol

The sold out show was fantastic. Jill went through the new album from start to finish, with a minor hiccup in the middle. She randomly forgot to sing the title track, which was luckily brought to her attention later on.

She sang with her brother and had various local talents play along. My cousin David played trumpet during her encore and she had her parents and a few of her friends get up to dance along to the track she wrote to use as her friend's wedding song.

Sorry, I won't be able to sing at your wedding... but here, you can play track 6.

Sounds genius to me! lol

Thanks for the amazing concert Jill. We laughed. We cried. You made church fun.

After the concert we headed back to Andrew's for casual drinks - or should I say casual catch-up drinks. A few rum & coke's later we were off to the bar. Joseph's fall makeover unveiling was well received as the boys flocked to comment on his change of hair.

Marcus escorted Brendan (winner of the Drunk of the Century Award) home as Joseph, Peter and I got pizza and cart-wheeled our way back to Peter's for multi-vitamins and a well-deserved nap.
