Saege, Showcase and Sketchy Straighties

Friday evening the boys gathered for our first official Friday Night Dinner. Our choice was Saege. We booked reservations well in advance and despite a few cancellations we still managed to fill the table with enough homo to intimidate, annoy and vacate the neighbouring tables. lol
Next time we'll place bets on how long it takes to clear it out. It helps when filter-less individuals have random inappropriate outbursts. Thanks for that..... mhmm.

Regardless, Saege was a great choice for our first dinner venue. The atmosphere, wait staff and food were all delicious. I had the Chicken Pad Thai (fantastic) in a funky rimmed bowl. Spicy - I highly recommend it.

Although the food was a bit slow getting to us, we were there to socialize. So, it served us fine to sit there and catch up on family affairs. The appetizers were Gio-esque, but luckily the entrees didn't leave us starved by the time we were out the door.

Saege: 4 out of 5 Diamonds It's worth doing. Twice.

After dinner we headed to the Hydrostone for "casual drinks" for the rest of our rainy evening. Andrew Murphy, Amy Reitsma, another co-worker (sorry, name escapes me) Kevin, Benjie and Olivia joined. We gathered around to watch Kink on Showcase - mildly disturbing. Mainly because it involved some familiar faces/asses.

Andrew, Amy and I took a cab as the others headed off to bed. Buzz was back. We took the safe route and cabbed to Ref's for Friday str8/freak/sketch night - it was nearly 2am at this point and our options were limited. Amy made friends with a random str8 military boy who had just arrived at the bar from a MAC makeup sponsored event. After a few hours of dancing (including the premiere of Maneater remix - Thanks to Andrew for harrassing the DJ) we left and made the long return walk back to Andrew's. MAC boy joined us for the trip. He decided to give me an AIDS ribbon and a fresh tube of MAC sparkly lip gloss to play with... because I apparently look like someone who would need this? Better question.. Why did str8 boy have lip gloss?

This later came in handy as a peace offering for our return to Creighton St. the next night... Sorry Strix! :)
